💎 Day 22 — Peace in the Storm
I never thought I would walk through a season that shook me the way this past one has. Not just physically… but emotionally and mentally too. There were days recently where I felt stretched, tired, and overwhelmed, even though no one else would have known from the outside. Sometimes life hits in ways you don’t see coming, and you’re left trying to steady yourself while everything inside feels unsteady.
I didn’t grow up studying that story about Jesus calming the storm.
Honestly, it wasn’t something I read much at all until recently.
But I connect to it now in a way that feels personal — not because I knew the story before, but because I understand the feeling behind it.
The feeling of being in the middle of something that feels bigger than you.
The feeling of trying to stay strong while waves keep coming.
The feeling of wondering how you’re supposed to find peace when life feels chaotic.
That’s the storm I’ve been navigating.
Not a physical one… but an emotional and spiritual one.
A storm inside my mind and heart.
And in the middle of all of it, God has been showing me something gently — not in a loud moment, but in little ways:
Peace doesn’t always come from the situation changing.
Sometimes peace comes from knowing God is sitting right there with you in it.
I don’t have all the answers.
I don’t always feel strong.
I don’t always know what tomorrow looks like.
But I’ve been feeling God steady me in ways I can’t explain.
He’s calmed me on days where I didn’t feel like myself.
He’s reminded me I’m not alone on days where the fear felt heavy.
And He’s been sitting with me in moments where my heart was louder than my faith.
There are storms He stops quickly.
And there are storms where He calms me instead.
Either way, His presence is peace.
So if you’re walking through something right now — something you haven’t said out loud, something you’re carrying quietly, something that’s been weighing on your heart — I want you to know this:
You’re not the only one.
You’re not going under.
And God is closer than you think.
There is peace even here… even in this… even in the storm you don’t fully understand yet.
And He’s not letting you go.
📖 Scripture
“Peace, be still.” — Mark 4:39
💭 Reflection
What part of your storm do you need God to steady today — even if the situation doesn’t change right away?
🙏🏽 Prayer
Lord, meet me in this storm. Calm the places in me that feel overwhelmed. Help me feel Your presence, and remind me that You are here with me in every moment. Give me peace that doesn’t depend on what’s happening around me. Amen.
