💎 Refined by his Grace: Day 28 – The Grace of Beginning Again
Beginning again took on a whole new meaning for me this past month.
I didn’t plan for my life to shift the way it did. I didn’t ask for a health scare that shook me awake. I didn’t expect to be confronted with my own fear, my own humanity, or the reality that everything can change overnight.
But it did.
And that moment forced me to stop… really stop… and look at my life.
I realized how far I had drifted from God.
I realized how much I had been carrying on my own.
I realized how exhausted I was — not just physically, but spiritually.
So I made a choice I didn’t even know I was ready for:
I gave my life to Christ.
I became saved.
And from that decision came the courage to begin again — truly begin again.
This wasn’t a “years-long process.”
It was a wake-up call.
A line-in-the-sand moment where I knew the life I was living couldn’t be the life I continued.
Rebuilding my relationship with God hasn’t been a dramatic story — it’s been honest.
A lot of quiet moments.
A lot of thinking.
A lot of releasing control I didn’t realize I was gripping so tightly.
And a lot of learning how to let God hold me through the unknowns.
There wasn’t a big sign or sudden breakthrough telling me to start this blog — it was something I felt pulled to do.
A place to pour out what I’ve lived.
A place to heal while helping others heal.
A place to walk out my salvation with honesty and grace.
And the truth is… beginning again hasn’t been glamorous.
It’s been humbling.
Tender.
Real.
What I’m learning is this:
Beginning again doesn’t mean everything gets easier overnight.
It means you choose God in the middle of the mess.
You choose to trust Him even when you don’t have all the answers.
You choose to believe He’s rebuilding you piece by piece.
And that, to me, is grace.
If you’re starting over — spiritually, emotionally, or physically — I want you to know something:
You’re not late.
You’re not behind.
You’re not broken beyond repair.
You’re in the middle of a beginning — and God meets us there every time.
📖 Scripture
“Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed…
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22
💭 Reflection
Where is God inviting you to begin again in your life?
What small step could you take toward Him today?
🙏🏽 Prayer
God of mercy, thank You for giving me the grace to start over.
Thank You for meeting me after fear shook me awake.
Steady my steps as I walk this new path with You.
Let every part of my beginning tell the truth of Your love and faithfulness.
Amen.
