Today’s Title: “Walk by Faith, Not by Sight.”
📖 Scripture: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Healing is not a moment—it is a journey. And often, it is much longer and quieter than we expect. There is no clear finish line, no instant relief, no overnight restoration. Instead, healing unfolds slowly, step by step, breath by breath, grace by grace.
For a long time, I thought healing meant being okay again. I thought it meant waking up without pain, without memories, without triggers, without the weight of what I had survived. But God showed me that healing isn’t about erasing what happened—it’s about learning how to live whole because of it.
There were days I prayed for God to heal me quickly. Days I begged Him to take the hurt away so I could move forward. But instead of rushing the process, He walked with me through it. Slowly. Patiently. Faithfully. And in that slow walk, I learned something sacred: healing isn’t something God does to us—it’s something He does with us.
Some wounds don’t close all at once. Some scars take time to form. Some prayers aren’t answered in an instant but are carried through seasons. And that does not mean God is absent—it means He is present in the process.
There were moments on this road when I felt frustrated with myself. Moments when I thought I should be “further along” by now. Moments when I compared my healing to someone else’s timeline. But God gently reminded me that comparison has no place in restoration. Every heart heals differently. Every story unfolds uniquely. And every journey is honored by Him.
Healing also requires honesty. It requires admitting that something still hurts. It requires laying down the mask and saying, “Lord, I’m not there yet.” And God never turns away from that kind of truth. He meets us right where we are—without judgment, without pressure, without expectation.
What I’ve learned along this long road is that healing is layered. God heals what we see first, and then He begins healing what we didn’t even know was broken. He brings memories to the surface not to wound us again, but to free us completely. He touches places we buried, ignored, or learned to live with—and He does it gently.
If you are walking through your own long road of healing, know this: you are not behind. You are not failing. You are not forgotten. Every step you take, even the small ones, matters. Every tear you cry is seen. Every prayer you whisper is heard.
God is not rushing your healing because He is perfecting it. And one day, you will look back and realize that the road itself was part of the miracle.

💭 Reflection: Where have you been hard on yourself during your healing process? What would it look like to give yourself the same grace God is giving you?
⸻
🙏🏽 Prayer :Lord, thank You for walking with me on this long road of healing. Help me to trust the process, even when it feels slow. Teach me to rest in Your timing and to believe that every step forward—no matter how small—is progress. Heal the places I can see, and the ones I cannot. I place my journey in Your hands.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
