💎 Day 4| When Healing Takes Time

I used to think healing would feel like a switch — one moment broken, the next restored. But real healing is more like sunrise than a light switch: gradual, gentle, and sometimes so slow you only notice it when you look back.

Some days I wake up strong and hopeful. Other days the fog lingers, the short term memory frustrate me, and I wonder why it’s taking so long. That’s when God reminds me that slow isn’t stuck — it’s sacred. He’s teaching me to trust Him not just for outcomes, but for every step in between.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” — Psalm 27:14

Waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means anchoring my heart in the One who is working even when I can’t see the progress. It means celebrating small wins, letting go of timelines, and believing that delays aren’t denials — they’re often how God deepens our faith.

“They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength… they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31

If your healing is taking longer than you hoped, you’re not behind. You’re becoming. Every quiet day, every slow step, every choice to trust again — it’s all part of the refining.

Grace doesn’t rush you. Grace walks with you.
