Day 9 | Faith Over Fear
Fear used to have a louder voice in my life.
After my medical emergency, I woke up to a new reality — one where I had to face uncertainty every single day. Questions swirled in my mind: Will this happen again? Will my memory fully come back? Can I handle this new version of my life?
Fear loves to whisper “what if.” But faith gently answers, “Even if.”
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.”
– Psalm 56:3
There’s something powerful about choosing faith even when fear feels justified. It doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine — it means remembering that God is bigger than what scares us.
Every time I start to worry, God reminds me of all the times He’s already carried me. The moments I couldn’t stand, He held me. The prayers I couldn’t form, He still heard. The times I thought I wouldn’t make it, He was already making a way.
Fear thrives on uncertainty, but faith thrives on trust.
And the truth is — we can’t have both in full measure. We either feed our fear or we feed our faith.
I’m learning to let faith lead, one choice at a time. To wake up each morning and say, “Lord, I don’t know what today holds, but I know You hold me.”
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
– 2 Timothy 1:7
When fear rises, faith whispers, “You’re not alone.”
And that whisper is enough to quiet the storm.
💭 Reflection
What fear has been holding you back from trusting God completely? What truth from His Word can you hold onto when fear tries to take over?
🙏🏽 Prayer
Lord, thank You for being my peace in the middle of fear. When anxiety tries to control me, remind me that You are already in control. Replace my worry with worship and my fear with faith. Help me to walk boldly in Your promises, knowing You’ve gone before me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
