💎 Day 18 — Choosing Gratitude
Gratitude isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it.
There have been times when life didn’t look anything like I hoped it would — when prayers felt delayed, doors seemed closed, and I honestly couldn’t see what God was doing. But even in those moments, I’ve learned that gratitude changes everything.
It doesn’t mean you have to be happy about every situation. It means you choose to still believe that God is good in the middle of it.
I’ve had to remind myself: if I still have breath, I still have reason to thank Him. Gratitude helps me see beyond what went wrong and notice what’s still right — His protection, His provision, His peace that somehow stays steady through it all.
Philippians 4 tells us to present our requests with thanksgiving. That verse hits different when you’ve walked through hard seasons. Because sometimes, being thankful isn’t about what you see — it’s about what you know: that God is still in control, still faithful, and still working things together for your good.
So even when life feels uncertain, I’m choosing gratitude — because it shifts my focus from what I’ve lost to the One who never leaves.
💭 Reflection
What’s one thing you can thank God for right now — even in the middle of what feels heavy?
🙏🏽 Prayer
Father, help me see Your goodness even when I don’t understand Your plan. Let gratitude be my response to every season, and remind me that peace comes when I choose to trust You. Amen.
