💎 DAY 10 | Walking in Purpose: Staying Faithful in Small Things
A Continued Walk of Grace- Series II
There are seasons in life that don’t sparkle… seasons that don’t look like progress on the outside but are quietly reshaping you on the inside. I’ve been living in one of those seasons lately — a place where God has been teaching me the beauty and weight of small faithfulness.
When you’re rebuilding your life, your faith, your rhythm, and even your identity… the “small things” feel heavier than people realize. Getting up with intention. Showing up when you’re tired. Praying when you feel empty. Keeping your heart open when it still feels bruised. Staying consistent when no one is clapping. Healing in silence. Trusting God in the dark.
Whew… those small things?
They are not small at all.
I used to think purpose showed up in big moments — the public victories, the stages, the breakthroughs, the visible blessings. But this chapter of my life is teaching me something different: purpose is proven long before it’s seen. It grows in the unnoticed places… the places where only God and your weary heart know the truth of what it costs you just to stay faithful.
Lately, I’ve had mornings where I’m trying to find my footing again — trying to believe again, breathe again, trust again. And even though I’m writing, serving, praying, and showing up, it hasn’t always felt like progress. But God keeps whispering, “This matters. You matter. Keep going.”
And I’m learning to lean into that.
David was faithful with sheep long before he ever faced a giant.
Ruth was faithful in a field before she ever reached a future.
The widow gave two small coins, but Jesus said she gave more than anyone else.
God sees what others overlook.
God honors what others ignore.
God uses what others call insignificant.
And in this chapter of my life — this rebuilding, refining, starting-over chapter — I’m realizing that God isn’t rushing me. He’s rooting me. He’s steadying me. He’s shaping me in ways that don’t show up on a highlight reel, but they’re shaping my purpose all the same.
There’s something sacred about trusting God with what feels small.
Because the small things are where your heart learns obedience.
The small things are where your faith learns endurance.
The small things are where your spirit learns intimacy.
And the small things are where God prepares you for the things you prayed for.
I used to want speed.
Now I want stability.
I used to want big moments.
Now I want to be faithful where my feet are.
If you’re in a season where your obedience feels quiet… unseen… slow… or “not enough,” hear me: you are not failing. God is forming you. Purpose isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s the quiet yes you whisper while wiping tears no one knows about.
Nothing surrendered to God is ever wasted — not your consistency, not your tears, not your slow progress, not your private battles, not your small yeses.
Stay faithful, even here.
Especially here.
This is where God grows you.
📖 Scripture
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.’”
— Matthew 25:21
💭 Reflection
Where in your life is God asking you to remain faithful, even if it feels small, quiet, or unseen?
What is He strengthening in you during this season of steady obedience?
🙏🏽 Prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me in the small places — the quiet moments, the hidden moments, the moments only You and I truly understand. Help me remain faithful even when the road feels slow. Strengthen my consistency, renew my hope, and teach me to trust the work You’re doing in me. Remind me that nothing done in obedience is ever forgotten by You.
Amen.
